Rained out today. That's OK. I relaxed and made this short vid of the ICF to remember my 2026 visits so far. It starts with the portrait I donated, a Blue Crane, and shows one click for every species of crane in the world. They are all being conserved and protected at ICF. #birds #ICF

The pink water lilies were gorgeous in the whooping crane pond at #ICF. All of the habitat enclosures are beautiful! It's a great place for cranes.🌼

Black-necked Crane - Near Threatened - Himalayas, Northern China, and Northern India Red crown, head and neck are black, except for small light grey spot extending backward from the yellow eye, ashy gray body feathers, black wings, tail and legs; juveniles – black and gray body plumage, cinnamon-brown head. Sarus Crane - Vulnerable - India and Nepal and other coutries Light grey body plumage, greenish skin crown, the rest of the head and upper neck are covered with red skin, the ear is covered by a small area of greyish feathers, legs are red; juveniles – cinnamon-brown feathers, and the greyish ear patch is not yet obvious. I am still planning on putting together a short video on my ICF visit, but here's a quick peek at the portrait I donated. It's of a Blue Crane called "Periwinkle". This pick is awful, but will post another later on. Two gift shop employees Sue and Emily were their to accept the donation. Fun. #ICF
The image is of two ICF employees accepting my donated portrait print of one of their blue cranes, Periwinkle. In the background is an info graphic which shows a picture of Dr. George Archibald and Ron Sauey, original founders that established the ICF. What great men! I was thrilled the print turned out nice and they seemed to love it. I am sure they will find good use for it.

Thought I would post a few Whooping Cranes today from my visit to ICF since I am reading George Archibald's book and I consider him to be the father all Whooping Cranes that exist in the world today. What a story! #WhoopingCrane #GeorgeArchibald #ICF
