On an cold winter's morning, just as the sun is piercing through the gray sky, a weathered Bachmann 3MT quietly steaming through the yard with a train of kit-built wagons full of produce to market. This diorama is detailed with Woodland Scenics snow on a pastel paper and foam base, with Scenecraft and Walthers structures in the background.

Two Broadway Limited HO Hudson locomotives on the modeling desk, under studio lighting to showcase the detail and shiny paintwork before weathering.

Three recognizable Swiss meter gauge locomotives from BEMO in HOm gauge. Two are from the Rhaetian Railway, the left being a GE 4/4 II and the middle a GE 4/4 III. On the right stands a Furka-Oberalp HGE 4/4 II. All have been detailed with cabin blinds out of cardstock for the windows, subtle weathering, and fitted with hoses from the package that have been painted to match the prototype more closely.

Standing proud in the yard is a Hornby Flying Scotsman, a Fleischmann BR 78 tank loco of the DRG, and a customized Bachmann USA Thomas with a resin printed face designed by @cooldude7208 and @Thomasmodelerfan96 on Twitter

My model of Union Pacific (UP) 4714 led a train on the California Central Model Railroad Club (CCMRC) in the historic Agnew depot in Santa Clara, CA, on Saturday, January 30, 2016. This is an Athearn Genesis model
The real UP 4714 is an EMD SD70M. Reportedly: It was built in 2002, builders number 20006271-5.

Finally got Sparky the steeplecab mounted on a proper 8-wheel chassis, with the help of some Meccano and a very thin sheet of cardstock Need to make it more rigid and add a massive weight box to the middle, but, it works without making the loco excessively big! #modelrailroad #modeltrain #hoscale

Finished the far side of the concrete pads for the intermodal terminal, I added some protective bollards for the light poles and wired it all up to see how it looks (pretty decent!)

My HO Model of Warbonnet Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe (ATSF) 356 was on the Tri-City Society of Model Engineers (TCSME) model railroad club in the historic Niles depot in Fremont, CA, on Friday, February 27, 2026. This locomotive is an Atlas model.
The real ATSF 356 was a GE U28CG. Reportedly it was built in 1966, builder's number 35999. In 1970 it was assigned to freight service and in 1972 it was repainted in Blue and Yellow. It was retired in 1980.
