Found this in #Hitchin under a huge evergreen oak in St Mary's churchyard. 8cm diameter, woven from grasses, lined with wool, lichen and feathers. Any thoughts about what species it belonged to? Could it be greenfinch? #UKBirding

It's a beautiful day for a bit of Butterfield. It's my 3rd visit to Holy Saviour #Hitchin to give a talk but the sky has never been so blue. The church was designed by William Butterfield, consecrated 1865 #victorianarchitecture
