recently I learnt about difference between http 1.1 and http 2 because had an issue with grpc connection during maritime project dockerization. single port in mixed mode assumed only http 1.1, solved by adding http2 port exclusively for grpc #buildinpublic #dev #grpc #docker #http #dotnet #devops

error messages at every attempt of sending data to main backend via grpc with configuration how it was before (only one port). apparently it happened in docker because in the network between containers I'm using http. not https, therefore no protocol negotiation that can change http version 1.1 to 2. unless explicitly specified http2 (probably it was mixed mode), in such situation it is assumed that all http requests are of version 1.1. but grpc requests are by definition over http2, so they are conflicting with this port
