It’s hard now to comprehend the levels of hysteria and hostility directed at #Eastenders and the actors (Michael Cashman and Gary Hailes) for allowing gays to be seen on TV. Questions were raised in Parliament; some MPs demanded the BBC lose its licence. It was courageous. #LGBTHistoryMonth

Over the last few weeks BBC's #EastEnders has been airing a storyline where Phil Mitchell experiences depression with psychotic symptoms 📺 We've been part of the team advising on the storyline to ensure it's shown in a delicate, sensitive and non-stigmatising way, keeping it authentic.
