With all of these recent felt #earthquakes, many people are asking "does this mean the big one is coming?". These earthquakes are not connected - some are shallow, some deep, all are on different faults and even different tectonic plates. They are far from the locked subduction fault. So no... ⚒️🧪

Wow! 127 years of recording large, global #earthquakes in Victoria, Canada! On September 3, 1898, a Milne seismograph began operation in the basement of the old Customs House building on the Victoria waterfront. It was one of the first seismographs in Canada: science.gc.ca/site/science... ⚒️🧪🇨🇦

So far, at least 748 #earthquakes have occurred at and northeast of Santorini, Greece since January 23rd, according to the GEIN catalog. 🧪⚒
