When I was a little kid, Zulu (1964) was one of the most intense, atmospheric films I'd ever seen, and I watched it a lot. The slow build-up before the battle, the approach of the Zulus, their war chant, the singing of "Men of Harlech" - what a brilliant film. #Filmsky #Moviesky #ClassicMovies 📽️
Zulu (1964). I think this was the original movie poster.

"You get up on your little twenty-one inch screen and howl about America and democracy. There is no America. There is no democracy. There is only IBM and ITT and AT&T and DuPont, Dow, Union Carbide, and Exxon. Those are the nations of the world today." - Network (1976) #FIlmSky #ClassicMovies

I just looked this movie up on Rotten Tomatoes and some critics really laid into it. I think it's really sweet. #summerunderthestars honoree Glenn Ford stars with Geraldine Page in DEAR HEART (1964), tonight at 9:45 PM on #TCM. #classicmovies

This post is in honor of my precious Mom, who passed away on the 10th, two months shy of her 94th birthday. She gave me my love of classic movies. She so enjoyed those with song and dance. Gene Kelly and Jimmy Cagney were among her favorites. ❤️🙏🫶 #MovieSky #Movies #ClassicMovies #musicals #Cinema
