I checked what engines were used for the highest rated games in the latest #BrackeysGameJam... 🥁🥁🥁 Top 5: 100% Godot Top 20: 16 Godot, 4 Unity (80% Godot) 🤯 The engine doesn't make a good game, so all the merit goes to the jammers, but it's still nice to see this sign of Godot adoption!

Day 3 of #BrackeysGameJam 2025.1! Made some more background improvements. Some effects and systems are coming together. I also started on the mini-games that will be used. Here's a look at one that is very heavily inspired by #severance. #gamedev #godot #indiedev

Computer interface with 5 windows/panes:
- System: User 0314, MurphOS v0.0.0-alpha, App REFINER, 3220-02-23, 22:37:36
- Tasks: Refine 3s in Omega; Sweep Epsilon; Nav to A in Tau
- Stats: 4 bars labeled H,S,L,A and some obfuscated text
- Main: a large grid of random numbers
- Console: an interactive console with this output visible:
> - quit: Quit your job (close the game)
> - read: Output file contents to console
> - sudo: Decrypt encrypted secrets using a password
> - welcome: Display the welcome text seen upon startup
> - whoami: Shows the logged in user
> Available apps:
> - refiner: Refiner - Refine the given project file
> - settings: Settings - Edit game settings
> - Extras: - Display game extras (e.g. credits)
