Review #BookReview: The Bodyguard's Familiar by T.J. Nichols 4 of 5 stars
The Bodyguard's Familiar by T.J. Nichols My rating: 4 of 5 stars Moon Jae‑young (Jay), a mind‑reading witch, is assigned to protect Caleb Brammer, a razorback shifter who barely escaped an attack on his assassin family. Their forced proximity turns tense flirting into real heat, and Jae‑young soon discovers Caleb is his fated mate. Together, they hunt the killer while navigating dangerous family ties — wanting each other is the last thing they need, but exactly what they want. This story was packed with action, danger, and drama, and I really enjoyed how Jay and Caleb started out fiery and defensive before slowly learning to trust each other. Their dynamic made every moment of forced proximity feel sharp and engaging. I loved how the different threads of the plot wove together — their growing relationship, the familiar bond, the revelations about their families, and the danger closing in around them. Watching them navigate all of that while figuring out what they meant to each other kept the tension high in the best way. A fast‑moving, dramatic story full of danger, drama, and emotion, with a relationship that builds beautifully as the stakes rise. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon
