Bloom Energy Continues to Set the Standard for AI Onsite Power with Expanded MiTAC Partnership
Bloom Energy (NYSE: BE) announced an expanded partnership with MiTAC Computing Technology, under which Bloom will deploy fuel cell systems to create an islanded microgrid at MiTAC’s AI server manufacturing campus in Fremont, California. This new project builds on an existing Bloom installation at MiTAC’s San Jose facility, increasing MiTAC’s overall contracted onsite power capacity across two California sites.According to Bloom Energy, the expansion supports the growing power needs of AI infrastructure manufacturers and adds to Bloom’s AI infrastructure segment, which now includes nearly two dozen customers with approximately 250 MW of capacity, up from nearly zero in this segment about two years ago. Bloom highlights that its fuel cell technology provides clean, reliable onsite power that can be deployed quickly and is well suited to locations constrained by permitting timelines, water availability, or noise limits. Bloom has already deployed hundreds of megawatts to data centers through partnerships with companies such as American Electric Power, Brookfield, Equinix, Nebius, and Oracle.
