Very nearly finished with the Vampire my modelling friends. Just a couple more days sticking on its legs, other bits and pinning it to the lovely base I bought at Littleport. Cheers all and I will hopefully post up the finished model at the weekend. 👍👍

The decals are on and some of the best I have used by Model Art. Thin but tough and no bumped edges. Colourful too. Now to let them dry, pin wash and put it all together. 👍👌 #histscalemodels #BastilleBuild

It has its silver coat. I was going to use Vallejo Metal that Roy suggested but came to the conclusion that I need a bit more practice with it. So I used up an old bottle of AK Extreme. Now to let it dry for a while, give it a polish and some decals. #histscalemodels #BastilleBuild

DH Vampire build is finished. A couple of touch ups tomorrow and then paint. Two small problems. I filled the nose with lead weights but still not enough.The clear parts for the wing tips are far too large. 🤷👍 #histscalemodels #BastilleBuild

So the 1/72 Special Hobby Fouga Magister is done bar a couple of repairs. Will fix those later but prob won't have pics ready on time, so I reckon these might come to count as final pics before #bastillebuild is over. Went for the 1980s modelling mag aesthetic. More info in alt. #HistScaleModels
1/72 Special Hobby Belgian AF Fouga Magister. Not really a fun kit. Detail is heavy and soft. This also goes for fit. Very soft and imprecise. Kit decals were of the modern Eduard type, which is unpleasant to work with. Aftermarket decals by Strop Decals were a let down. Black figures were printed on a white primer layer, and white kind of bleeds out from under the black. I have to do a couple of repairs on the model, but this is pretty much it.

Bonsoir #histscalemodels crew. Here is my choice for #BastilleBuild It is a French Vampire, my favourite plane. Hopefully I can do it justice. This will also count towards my #buildthestash target as I had planned for this last year. 👍👍 All the best to fellow group builders. 😀
