One time when I was still a child, my father gave me a self-built wooden wheel #barrow as a birthday gift, so I could "help" him in the garden. When I had become too big for it, he choose a prominent spot for it on his allotment & turned it into a raised flower bed. Until time claimed it. #whistpr

A few pics of me at today’s #Parkrun in #Barrow taken by local photographer Keith. I hadn’t factored in that my choice of outfit and accessories was so black! 🤣 #LoveParkrun #Running Lovely morning for it and we had 116 runners taking part. Pretty good for New Years Day and how cold it was.

Back on 3rd August I ran my first ever 5k with Travel Actively Barrow as part of the ‘Walk this Way Festival’. Since then I’ve become an active parkrunner and when I finished this morning’s #parkrun I spotted two of the lovely people I ran with that day back in August!

Since then I’ve become an active parkrunner and when I finished this morning’s #parkrun I spotted two of the lovely people I ran with that day back in August! Over the months I’ve managed to get my parkrun 5k time down from 45:54 on 16th August to a PB today of 32:34. So I’d like to wish a very happy new year to Barrow parkrun and all the parkrun UK community, and to my running pals at the Parkside Panthers. You’re all ace and I can’t wait to see what 2026 will bring. #ActiveTravel #Running #RedJanuary
