I could imagine this dress on board a space cruiser or worn by a character in a science fiction novel, but not in a cocktail bar in the late #1940s. It was designed by Marcel Rochas, a futuristic gown of angles @philamuseum.bsky.social #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡
