$TSM earnings last night: management said no concerns about hydrogen/helium sourcing which had been a concern given huge reliance globally on Persian Gulf supplies. Also no concerns over energy availability. So for now, hit to semis supply chain looks limited.

People talk about "AI investment" but how much AI "investment" is just chip markup today? Given $NVDA and $AVGO marketcaps -- a *lot* You cannot talk about AI buildout without talking about chip margins -- they are near nonsensical (can now add $TSM and all of Semicap to that too)

Friendly reminder that ~10% of Taiwan’s total power consumption today (≈25.5B kWh/yr) is attributable to $TSM alone. S&P projects that that hits ~24% by 2030 as advanced nodes and EUV proliferate. One fab complex alone (five Kaohsiung plants) equals 30% of that city’s consumption.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Fun fact: $TSM alone accounts for roughly 10% of Taiwan’s total energy consumption.
