The two bars are close in both panels, but the trial's dual primary endpoints were judged separately. CagriSema met the non-inferiority margin against tirzepatide on weight reduction and did not meet it on blood glucose. Failing to demonstrate non-inferiority is not the same as being shown inferior; the trial did not establish that tirzepatide is better on HbA1c, only that CagriSema did not prove itself no worse.

The trial was open-label, ran 68 weeks, and enrolled about 1,000 adults with type 2 diabetes inadequately controlled on metformin, with or without an SGLT2 inhibitor. Figures are on the basis of the effect if all participants adhered to treatment.

Lilly's is reported revenue growth in dollars, converted from its dollar guidance of 85 to 87 billion against 2025 revenue of 65.2 billion.
