Went for a nice dinner with my partner of 12 years for our anniversary tonight. Everything was so tasty that I didn't even stop to get pictures of all of it, but here's a few! (food/alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink pics below) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I was tempted to buy this drink. It is a non-alcoholic malt drink made in Saudi Arabia. I googled it while in the store. It comes in a variety of flavours ranging from berry fruits to just malt. Apparently for males, if you drink it, urinary calcium significantly decreased after consumption. Nope!

After being curious about this one for weeks, I tried it today. This is a good non-alcoholic replacement for a regular beer, if/when you're in the situation where you want a few beers, but still have to drive or function otherwise afterwards. #beer #non-alcoholic #SamuelAdams

Oh, now that the wedding has happened, I can share with y'all our bar menu which The Husband (!!) and I cracked ourselves up with Also it turned out one of the bartenders happened to be a Trekkie too and was delightedly explaining the reference to guests who didn't get it hahaha

Today has involved more dinosaurs, shopping, and a lovely lunch at Giggling Squid. I love it when my sister visits!

Generally don't care for the taste of most NA beers, but the Athletic Lite on a warm day is pretty solid

Country pub on the way home, sadly had no non-alcoholic cider (fail). Still a nice venue anyway.

Hoppy is a beer-like non-alcoholic drink, often served as a mixer for shochu (which it was here). It was created in Japan post WWII and popularized as a cheaper substitute for beer. Here's the funny thing: it's really not hoppy, not by American standards. This is about as hoppy as a Bud Light.

My family and doc mentioned I was in dire need of quitting the drink a while back, and I agreed. I wasn’t kidding when I said I love the taste though, and will be sure to pound plenty of these non-alcoholic brews so as to be fully loaded in the bladder department on that glorious day. 😉🍻🍺
