Today is the National Day of the Horse in the U.S. Many people love to buy young horses and enjoy their beauty and vibrance for a while, but don't feel obligated to give them a loving retirement when they get older. That's how many of our horses came to us. π§΅
Flower watches Simon & Jolene play with each other. On cat cam last night, it looks like Flower was trying to play with Simon by chasing him. This is the 1st time Iβve seen Flower try to play w another cat w positive body language instead of the βFlower stompβ (aggressive move). Happy #Caturday
Today was rough - neighbor caught an injured stray cat she's been trying to get for days. We were prepared for the this, but he was so old and his injuries were bad enough they had to euthanize. I'm glad we gave him love and a safe warm place to spend his last day, but it still always sucks. β€οΈ
Jolene & I went to a live comedy show tonight and it was one of the most fun things I have done all year. (Itβs been a bad year.) I love being able to zoom things so I donβt have to worry about driving or Covid and so the cats can attend things too. (Jolene is the one who zooms the most.)
We have been getting hit with 7-8 inches of snow every other day since Thanksgiving. Currently predicted 14-16 inches. Totals approaching 4 feet on the ground. Iβm having a culture shock over the snow here. Today I was able to drive the car into town for errands (post office, etc) 1/2
