According to at least 3 journalists at the protest in LA, the only violence came from the County Sheriffs, who began using tear gas, flash bangs, rubber bullets and batons on the peaceful protesters. Sheriffs on horseback were hitting protesters with their batons. Men,

LA policing is fundamentally violent and problematic and in urgent need of reform from top to bottom. #FreeTheBear

Remarkable. MSNC: "I want to reiterate this has been 100% peaceful." Seconds later, LA County sheriffs start firing on the crowd. Yet again, "law enforcement" deliberately escalated.

🚨BREAKING🚨 Judge Breyer declines to delay his preliminary injunction schedule and restraining order on the National Guard deployment in LA, so the injunction against Trump STANDS and the timeline that was issued MUST be adhered to despite any possible ruling from the 9th Circuit.

Many protesters are still on the streets... Many didn't go home, and LA is the only place I know of that has a curfew...

i do hope that those attending the protests both in LA or LV or anywhere is in the country is safe, avoids any police, and of course take any necessary precautions, especially when the national guard assaults those with tear gas and rubber bullets

about the anti-ICE protests. i do not live in LA so i will say that my mother and i are both safe here in las vegas, however things are still pretty dire as there was police brutality in downtown LV and nearly 100 were arrested.

LAT here echoes what LAPD deputy chief said on KNX: Police claim some protesters threw rocks. Let's see it. LAPD has THOUSANDS of bodcams out there. Downtown is blanketed in security cameras. Show. Us. The. Video. Then let's compare it to the use of force in response. Receipts must be checked. 🧾
LAPD issues dispersal order downtown, fires tear gas and rubber bullets

By Rebecca Ellis and Ruben Vives

Tensions rose downtown late Saturday afternoon as Los Angeles Police Department officers on horseback pushed back hundreds of protesters from the Federal Building, charged into the crowd on horseback, fired tear gas canisters and shot less-lethal munitions.

The LAPD issued a dispersal order around 4 p.m., saying some protesters were “throwing rocks, bricks, bottles and other objects,” but few in the crowd seemed to realize the order had been given. Within minutes, police had cleared the area and moved people away from the troops.

During the No Kings a a demonstrator was struck in the head by a less-lethal munition fired by police, causing a severe injury that led to significant bleeding, according to footage captured by @ Miglovin on IG. Fellow demonstrator medics quickly stepped in to provide treatment.
