The Four Acres Fire, which is not four acres... is an IA fire from yesterday across the Salmon river from Stanley. It's getting bucket work this morning, given the weather we've had in Stanley this week, I'm not overly concerned about it's growth assuming they get it handled today. #IdahoFire

Doing my morning #IdahoFire analysis, I'm not too concerned with anything I see, but as we enter today's burn period, there are certainly a few initial attack fires I'm going to be keeping an eye on.
Overall, though, IA is looking good, we're still getting lucky...

*EVACUATION NOTICE* #IdahoFire
Range fire, no... *the* Range fire (which is also 'a' range fire)... seems to be quite active S of #Boise. It started in the orchard training grounds and is threatening areas near Pleasant Valley Road.
Side note: I hate when orgs don't use ready/set/go standard terms.

The Salmon-Challis also has the new Fritzer Fire #IdahoFire
It's NW of Juraneau above Panther Creek. It's inside the 2000 Clear Creek Scar (1st scorched-earth super fire I worked) in an area that's only just starting to really regrow, not too worried about it atm.

Also have the Farrell Fire, a half mile from private property W of Idaho City #IdahoFire
I don't generally worry too much about fires in this area given forest type, history, fuel loads, etc... but on the right day, right wind, it can be problematic. If you're in the area, keep an eye on it.

For additional context, the drainage to the left of that ridge is 4th of July Creek--which had a flash flood warning earlier today. 🙃 Rain in these summer storms is great, but very localized and comes with dry lightning right next to it.

New fire in the head of Carmen Creek NW of Salmon. #IdahoFire I've been worried about this drainage for damn near 30 years, it is absolutely primed to burn *HOT*. I suspect this ain't *that* fire, but I get nervous anytime there's a fire in/near Carmen creek. keeping an eye on this one for sure.
