By allowing for the dismantling of minority districts held by Democrats, a ruling against the VRA could give President Donald Trump and the GOP enough additional seats to lock in the party’s control of the House for a generation. www.democracydocket.com/n….

A precondition for Republics to transition to autocracies is the politicization of the military. It is why the political & military leaders of the country have been so vigilant to keep partisanship away from it. But this admin is dismantling that concept. www.cnn.com/2025/10/15/p...

The secret power of a people’s movement is that it’s random. It’s neighbors protecting immigrants from ICE. It’s millions canceling Disney+. It’s a man throwing a sandwich. It’s inflatable frogs dancing. Dictators struggle to fight a movement, because they can’t do what they want most—control us.

The right has declared that although Trump’s political prosecutions are regrettable, the “Democrats brought it on themselves,” @jonathanbchait.bsky.social writes. But “Trump was no victim of the legal system. If anything, he received preferential treatment”:

Jesse Watters misrepresented something Joy Behar said then went on a crazed rant where he blamed the collective 'left' for the murder of Charlie Kirk along with a shooting at an ICE facility and the attempts on Trump's life. Watters is part of the problem.

Ok but when people say a new generation it’s usually because it also means new ideas and not the ideas of Bill Clinton in 1994

Rep. Moulton is challenging incumbent Sen. Ed Markey, saying it's time for a new generation of leadership in the Democratic party.

A bottle of water can be $1
at the market,
S3 at a restaurant, $4 at the movies and $6 in an airport. It's the same exact water. The only thing that changed it's value, was the place. So, the next time you feel like you have no value, maybe you're in the wrong place.

A Google employee who works in Trust and Safety and who spoke on the condition of anonymity to protect their job said the tech industry has been pulling back from rigorous fact-checking this year, starting with Meta’s decision to fire fact-checkers in January. The changes coincided with corporate shifts in tech and other industries that appeared to see chief executives move to be more aligned with President Donald Trump.

“It’s more hands-off,” the employee said. “As long as you’re not doing anything really bad and you’re not calling for violence, you can have your ads running.” Misinformation is only considered a violation of Google’s policies if it falls under election interference or public health risks, he said.
