In my ideal state @atproto.com or @atprotocol.dev would run a labeler and be a trusted verifier so devs and community contributors could be verified by that labeler and get feeds from there for news

Has anyone had any luck developing client-only apps for @atproto.com on localhost using oauth-client-browser? I set clientMetadata to undefined and log in, but I get a scope error when trying to call getProfile.
Have I missed a step, or is it a limitation of local-only, client-only atproto dev?

the op by @knowtheory.net is really disheartening because this is an individual who literally LOVES @atproto.com and has put time, resources, and general energy into helping support the developer side of the atmosphere.
i know he, similar to many other devs, are also disappointed by jay's actions.

You are building decentralized tech and are the stewards of @atproto.com - that matters more than any of this and needs strong leadership who don’t want to be in the business of “editorial” decisions.
