How did we EVER get this far without using a hi-res vertical monitor? Royal really sold me on the concept for #gamedev & #unityengine

In 1994, Nintendo introduced the Ultra 64, which was hyped as a generational leap that would make the 32-bit Sega Saturn and Sony PlayStation look outdated. But then came the gut punch: the Ultra 64 was delayed until 1996. #Gaming #RetroGaming #Nintendo #N64 #GameDev #IndieDev #GamingSky #PromoSky
In 1994, Nintendo introduced the world to the Ultra 64. The name leaned hard into power and performance—it conjured images of sleek, futuristic hardware with unprecedented capabilities. Nintendo began hyping the system as a generational leap that would make the 32-bit Sega Saturn and Sony PlayStation look outdated on arrival. But then came the gut punch: the Ultra 64 was delayed until 1996.

But what about the size and industry weight of each of these companies? SF has folks like Sony, Niantic and a scaled-back Ubisoft. Seattle has MS/343, Bungie, Valve, Nintendo of America, ArenaNet, Niantic... Are we sure SF is actually the superior game dev hub?

Ayup Bluesky followers! I need some help with something. It would be cool to get @machinefun.bsky.social added to any indie dev starter packs and follower list stuff. If anyone has one or knows of people who set them up, @ them or post link below Cheers in advance.

Been stuck on some of the shopkeeping/crafting mechanics for Little Rock Shop, and visited Moore Than Rocks in Kent, WA to get some inspiration and ideas 😊 My little one helped me pick out some tumbled rocks to try to add into the game as well! #gamedev #process

I love the soundtrack to this game! I only got to play it a few times as a kid. I didn't have Sega, but my friend did. I have a playlist saved on youtube for when I'm feeling nostalgic for video game music.

These numbers ain't looking good... More than a quarter of devs surveyed by GDC were laid off in the past two years, and half of them don’t have a new job | VGC buff.ly/0DV5gQ3 #Labor #Devs #GDC #Gaming

#godot #indiedev #gamedev Even though I've been without electricity for two days, I've kept on developing #Wicked_Haywire. There are a lot of minor stuff broken, like the wire color or deleting things. But I'm not okay with how wire editing works. Here is a demo of a ring counter using flip-flops.

What do you think? Improvement against the other? How about the gameplay's prototype? These are all prototypes generated by AI, the aim here is to know the reaction to a possible mobile game like this one, if you see fun, potential and some sort of originality! #gamedev #gamplay

You may want to add a License file to make it clear how your work can be used (it's good to have the usage conditions be explicit for works made public like this one) (godot uses the MIT license but you can use whatever fits)
