While I do not think any military action would be helpful here, isn't the US technically allies with Pakistan? The US can urge Pakistan to make an agreement with India so the bloodshed can stop. I do not agree with Vance's wholesale handwashing of the situation. www.indiatoday.in/world/u….

JD Vance says US won't intervene in India-Pakistan dispute: None of our business

US Vice President JD Vance has ruled out American intervention in the India-Pakistan conflict, calling it "none of our business" and urging both sides to pursue de-escalation through diplomacy.

Tbh, fundamentally, like. The Government should have put the reciprocal social security deal with India, that's just like ones that have existed for ages, in _their_ press release, rather than leaving it to the Indian govt (who have an obvious incentive to make it sound as good/unique as possible!).

I was expecting that to be a war going on between Iran and the US now. I wasn’t expecting the war between India and Pakistan. Swings and roundabouts, I suppose.

I condemn the killings in Pahalgam and last night’s airstrikes by India, as well as Pakistan's subsequent attacks. We must stand with those demanding peace, de-escalation and pluralism, and we must support the right of self-determination for the Kashmiri people.
