One of the shocking aspects of the recent ACIP meeting was the blatant racism that was used to accuse immigrants of bringing hepatitis B into the States. This is not an accurate or fair statement. Good article detailing this

Instead of considering scientific evidence, Daskalakis said #ACIP “just sort of went with the vibes and their vibe is, ‘If you identify Asian people somewhere near your child, then maybe you should get them a hep B vaccine,’ which is completely insane.” www.cidrap.umn.edu/childh….

We can work around bad ACIP recommendations as long as the AAP and other professional organizations have our back. We cannot work with a black box warning. This would mean the end of pediatric covid vaccines for general use.

“It's terrifying for government appointees to describe immigrants this way,” said Dr. Flor Munoz about the recent ACIP meeting, in which committee members repeatedly tied hepatitis B to immigrants.

🧵 Looking ahead, here's what we're watching in 2026: The CDC could further alter the childhood vax schedule. This month, a CDC panel ended a long-standing recommendation that all newborns get a birth dose of the hepatitis B vax, endangering public health gains. rewirenewsgroup.com/2025/….

🚨New Essay! Much has been written this month on the fact that the new ACIP guidance is bad for Hepatitis B vaccination - but not on *how* it will hurt us. In this piece, I discuss the psychological factors at play, including the ambiguity effect. essaysyoudidntwanttoread.….

RFK’s Psychological Warfare Against the Hepatitis B Vaccine: It’s All (or Mostly) in Your Mind.

Between 1990 and 2015, the vaccination of babies and children against Hepatitis B prevented 310 million global cases of chronic hepatitis. So far this century, vaccination of newborns and infants h…

Between all the chaos he's created with his hiring/firing practices at HHS and its child agencies, the mass exodus of talent from those agencies, and all the anti-vaxx bullshit he's pulled with ACIP, the CDC…

ACIP’s decision to scrap hep B vaccine recommendations for infants is inextricable from its advisers’ apparent belief that immigrants bring disease. Sure, Americans are primed to believe in individualism. But “we’re all exposed to the same stuff, and we’re all in it together.” trib.al/O2pjBsZ
