IMSA Throwback Weekend is here! Throwing back to the 2015 #02 Chip Ganassi Riley Daytona Prototype, powered by Ford. This livery won the 24 Hours of Daytona piloted by two IndyCar drivers, Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan, as well as NASCAR stars Kyle Larson and Jamie McMurray.

one time i was at a classic car show, I was in a navy blazer and white linen pants, looked very dapper, and I was chatting with a very old, clearly very rich lady about the show, and she asked me "What do you like to drive?" and I replied "Oh, a Honda Accord." and she said "oh, CORDS! Lovely cars"

One of the seminal Mercedes-Benz cars of its era, the S-class SEC coupé (C126) is shown in this late 1985 UK brochure, which coincided with a mid-life facelift. This introduced new V8 models - the 420 and flagship 560 - while the 500 version was carried over. #carbluesky

I've become aware of a strong new contender for 'most spectacular backdrop for a race track'

#ECK #PostProcess #EraShift Thanks to rjrock.bsky.social for sharing the original photo for another fun challenge. This is a quiet, after-hours scene with a slight retro vibe. Edits in Lightroom and mobile version of Photoshop, (which I don't know how to use). More details in Alt-text.
Edits in Lightroom: Removal of people, traffic lights street lights, and poles. Cropped and horizontal shift. Curves, clarity, and mask adjustments. And then, for no apparent reason, I removed the background from a photo I took of a '67 Impala (per Google search) at a car show years ago. I used the free version of Photoshop (Android) to remove the background and layered it on the Bluebird photo. I don't even know how to use Photoshop, so the car may be out of scale and it's definitely on the wrong side of the street.
