May & Myrrh - 3D Character Turntables
Here's the model turntable animations I made for May and Myrrh's character models. I also composed the background music for these animations, which is not my forte but I think it turned out decent. #Mermay#b3d#art

#Mermay Pen Pal "Myrrh"
This, along with its accompanying image (bsky.app/profile/step...) were the first time I've made something other than fanart in 3D. Very fun to adapt my own illustrative style. #art#b3d
For the last two months I’ve been building a fancy die tray/holder with my dad. I designed it in Blender and did all the scroll saw work and painting. He figured out how to make my design feasible and handled the actual construction. The detail work on top is adapted from stevedgood.com. #art#dnd
My cousins are organizing a D&D one-shot for our family reunion. It's a train heist, so my character is a clockwork horse named Clipp Clock. He's a clip clop cop for the Royal Tick-Tock OPS "Click Clock Cop" force.
He has a built-in heavy crossbow and typewriter. #dnd#art

#Mermay Pen Pal "May"
May and her pen-pal Myrrh share art back-and-forth every spring when their families travel to the coast. They don't speak the same language, but art heeds no such borders.
This was the first time I made something in 3D that wasn't fan art. #art#b3d
Apparently replies don't propagate to my art feed so this piece is missing from that collection unless I repost it:
#Mermay Alternative 1: Mermay-May
In which artists would draw a different "person participating in Mermay" each day for a month.

I already posted this one, but it was hidden in replies so here it is again: My own D&D character "Hildegard Eden Von Tempest" who is of course a thinly veiled insert of Lady Elaine Fairchilde from Mister Roger's Neighborhood.
She's a half-gnome cleric of the trickster domain. #dnd#art
Rounding off our D&D party is the gnomish ranger Gnora and her giant badger steed Asalbrock.
I decided to get fancy with her slingshot and named it the Super Slugger 2000. #dnd#art
Here's another illustration of a D&D party member. This time for our flaming sorceress, "Ember". She seems like the most "normal" protagonist in our party so I gave her a fairly grounded pose. #Dnd#art
He puts the "berry" in "barbarian". Here's another illustration of a D&D party member: "Rowan".
As far as I can tell he's just a normal tree, but then somebody made him mad. #dnd#art
Here's more D&D character art, this time of one of my party members: "Nyx Heartstring".
Real "Devil went down to Georgia" vibes with this one. She's a tiefling bard cowgirl who can turn her horns into a magical string instrument that sounds like a banjo. #dnd#art
I'm building a new D&D character! This half-gnome trickster cleric is a thinly-veiled adaptation of Lady Elaine Fairchilde from Mister Roger's Neighborhood, which is something I've been wanting to play for ages. I just feel like that character has a lot of unexplored depth and potential. #dnd#art
Here's a cleaner look at my Mario Kart-inspired Donkey Kong model. I'm sure this is going to look really "off" after we've gotten a better look at his new design, but for the time being I'm really happy with it.
#DKC#art#Switch2#b3d
I decided to model what I think Donkey Kong's "Mario Style" redesign will look like based on the blurry footage from the Switch 2 reveal.
It probably won't have particle fur like this, that was mostly to hide the seams, since I made his limbs as disconnected blobs. #DKC#Switch2#art#b3d
2021/11/20:
I updated my Donkey Kong model from DKC1-style to DKC2-style. Differences being:
-Particle fur
-Necktie initials
-Better hands and feet
-Tongue
-Better nostrils
-More defined navel
-Better skin and eye materials

MS Paint With All The…
Made in MS Paint using only the default colours (also included a 16-color version). I did consult Photoshop beforehand to help me decide where to use which colours.
The Windows 95 came out exactly two months after this film opened, so I think they're a good fit.
