for no reason, here is an animation from a direct numerical simulation of a share-free atmospheric boundary layer. this is vertical velocity, with narrow bright areas being upward motion, and broad dark areas being downward motion. this is near-surface in the x-y plane (you're superman looking down)

AR 4299 kept the show going with an M2.4 flare and Earth-directed CME which has recently been modeled by NASA as a direct hit to Earth around Dec 10 at 3 UT. This could be interesting if Earth is still recovering from the M8.1 CME, and geomagnetic effects could be enhanced.

When we abandon families to individualism and show kids that we don't care about them, they're a nuisance or an afterthought, we are collectively raising children who feel devalued, leading to adults who treat others the way they were treated. And the cycle continues. youtube.com/shorts/nV1uI...

Here is the most promising of the CMEs headed for us now, launched with an M8.1 flare from AR 4299 in the Earth-strike zone. It may impact Earth around Dec 9 at 5 UT. Both NASA and NOAA agree with this timing. Impact may be slightly before or after (+/- 7 hr) this prediction.

Here is the NASA M2M WSA ENLIL+Cone model for the M1.1 flare from AR 4299. Note that this CME was fired right in front of the M8.1 CME, so it may get "swept up" in that eruption and both may arrive as one enhancement. We'll see, though! Impact time will be uncertain due to this.
