Finally finished Star Fox 64 thanks to the Rewind feature. I got too scared as a kid when I saw the final boss and never saw the true ending. 20+ years later, now I did.

Game idea that I'm way too dumb to even begin making: Automation game (Satisfactory, Oddsparks, Zachtronics) except it's level-based and you're working with increasingly badly-designed and complicated factories that you have to refactor into efficient ones. (ReFactory is already taken, sadly)

Yup, bounced off this one *extremely* hard.
Felt like a more restrained Ready Player One with all its hokey videogame references, and the fact its central game idea was straight up stolen from Brenda Romero without credit (despite multiple appeals to the author) soured me on it from the off.

Sad to say I didn't end up liking my latest fiction book. Back to back book Ls is wild I am having such bad luck with that. It was Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. Sorry! I know a lot of y'all really liked it and recommended it to me. Dropped off like 30ish pages in.

If y’all didn’t know this already, 10 times out of 10 if theirs an idea for a game you were thinking of or an experience you wanted to do, it’s 100% already a video game, and more often then not eye openingly old

i think every game needs a giant railgun in it. in my old scrapped game idea (y'know the one i posted that old concept art for recently) there was a giant railgun that you used to launch yourself in a rocket capsule through a force-field on a giant levitating structure and it was pretty neat.

Kojima is the only one with original video game ideas anymore. The first DS was and still is amazing and I can’t wait for the sequel. Taking the day off work to play it and I never do that!

Matches are 100% simmed and out of your control but the results still impact every other part of the game

If I were to start playing a new game, it would probably be this one, except the boxy aesthetics of the game just don't do it for me. Allow me to pitch a game idea: it's in a similar vein but with fish folk, and you build a beautiful vibrant Coral Reef metropolis (mertropolis). 1/2
