#JobFairy - if you really are looking to get out, get away, the University of the South Pacific is looking for a historian. 5 years in the first instance, looks like mostly remote teaching though? recruitment.usp.ac.fj/job….

That would not hold. The cause of LC or CFS/ME is not known but involves inflammatory mediators. The quicker you contain and clear a virus, the lesser the burden and inflammatory response required, hence, less risk. This is also shown in literature.

The issue is in part: many have been re-infected but they did not notice it. In the reinfection group, there are more symptoms and worse than you would expect. There seems skweing towards those with higher susceptability, or at least suggest other confounders. bsky.app/profile/marc...

It is likely much closer to the real incidence than the high percentages often mentioned.

Frankly, the economy grinding to a halt will happen by itself if they go that route. It's not going to be a matter for most of refusing to work... it'll be a matter of not being able to. So, practical terms, as I advised my friends and family last November, be prepared to survive that disruption.

But, of course, these infections, or others, beit due to different causes such as a new strain, reduced vaccination coverages, complex multi year cycles, etc, did not show any indication. The reason is, there was or is no issue with immunity. 6/6

even the scary MRSA and MSSA.... would increase and that would be noted and reported. 5/6

No, the paper does not substantiate this. The group sizes are very different, the reinfection group being much more vulnerable. What is interesting is that the incidence in the control group is 0.09%.

Immune deficiency/damage/dysfunction/exhaustion, etc would show a steady, if not sharp rise in many oppertunistic infectious diseases, such as from E.coli, Klebsiella, C. difficile, Pseudomonas..... 4/6

But, once the dust of the pandemic, the closures and backlog of diagnosis and treatment settles. You can have a good look, without several main confounders that may confuse if you look at the raw data. 3/6
