In #BirdOfTheDay today #migration or #floofball by @alan678.bsky.social I've chosen the elegant Avocet. During Autumn they gather in large groups for their migration down South. One of those important areas in our country is the Waddenzee.

Das Schwarz-Weiß-Foto zeigt die Spiegelung eines hohen Turms in einer Pfütze auf einer nassen Straße. A large boulder has a cairn of rocks that are perfectly balanced and go from largest to smallest in precision sizing and shape. The boulder is sitting at the top of Cerro San Luis, and down below is a sea of fog, with just a sliver of distant mountains poking above the fog. The sky is very blue. I'm just below the peak of the mountain that I'm hiking, and the fog has been in the process of lifting. The mountain top has green shrubs which are slightly illuminated by the sunlight. There is a bright spot at the top of the mountain where the sun is just about to crest. The fog forms a halo of sorts over the sun with blue sky visible between the sun and the fog. The fog is shaped such that it looks like sun rays. Cerro San Luis, San Luis Obispo, California
