Want to address quickly why the latest update is taking so long. One of my main goals with this update is to bring feature parity as much as possible to my supported platforms.
Before all of the work I’ve done as of late, Inochi2D has only really worked well on Windows.

Inochi2D’s SDK now has automated nightly and release builds for the C FFI enabled SDK!
Both debug and release builds are created!

The Inochi2D Discord voted, back to the Vulkan + Metal grind to build my own graphics API that fits the project’s needs.
Though initially it’ll only support the exact features I need for Inochi2D, nothing more.

Aside from interpersonal drama, Inochi2D is a great software. I recommend going to discord server, there are a lot of people that will help you if you wanna rig a model ☺️

Well, the nijilive fork is heavily investing in ai integration. As much as Lina wants people to equate using my software to supporting abuse, it really isn’t the case.
Also Inochi2D is undergoing a lot of refactoring and optimisation as of late, so if you care about performance I’d recommend it.

No, it is not from Nijisanji. I don't know why it is named that since it also makes me think of Niji Journey an AI image generator.
I don't think it is worked on as much as Inochi2D but I figured I would offer the fork just in case!

Despite the continued attempts to tear me down I’ll continue my work.
Inochi2D means a lot to a lot of people at this point, and I don’t think a single person should ruin that for others.
In other news, performance is steadily improving as i work on optimisations.

Hmm.
I know of a few ways I could potentially improve my Live2D model.
Do I try to make those changes and re-rig to learn Inochi2D instead?
I doubt it's as feature-filled yet but my model's basic and Inochi is free.

I'm changing my design (again) so I'll have to make a new Inochi2D model 🫣
Probably going to do a pngtuber one again and possibly make a tutorial video using the process. Might be the best course of action...

Okay, next Inochi Session and Inochi Creator update will use SDL_gpu under the hood, likely with some patches by me to allow texture sharing.
In other words, system requirements are being upped to Vulkan 1 + Metal 3 capable graphics processor, SSE2 + AVX compatible CPU (NEON on ARM).

Inochi2D is more powerful on its own than Live2D and its free software. I've been following its development in real time because I'm on their dev server. It keeps improving and becoming more stable over time. Huge performance gains have been made too.
I can 100% recommend it.

Also, Inochi Creator and Session will for the time being use SDL_gpu for rendering, providing better performance across platforms, and hopefully less rendering bugs.

In other news, Inochi2D has been undergoing a major refactoring. Lots of systems have been rewritten from scratch to have better semantics, for example:
- Meshgroup now supports recursive deformation
- Composite can be nested infinitely
- Masks properly support alpha transparency now

Hey everyone, I’m back again. I’ve been back and forth talking to lawyers and the like, and I’ve determined that it really isn’t worth it long term to pursue legal action.
Neither for me or for Lina.
Work on Inochi2D is still continuing, gotten a lot done the past few weeks.

Update on what i'm doing:
- making a music video about FNAF with inochi2D (idk how to use it, HELP ME)
- doing the "AI no uta (u pa pa)" animation meme with Lód with some fun facts about him thrown in there
- making 1 clean drawing of each of my characters to use in different places like my website.
