Anyway, I am reorganizing the band and booking some shows for next month, and if a rogue magician shows up to distract literally everyone from walking in to check out our set, I will be a proper diva and get him booted from the venue.
I hadnโt seen Tool since high school and a guy I was seeing was like maaaybe you can go w/ me and my friends to see them at MSG. Maybe!
So, I found 2 crazy cheap front row seats and guitarist Chris flew in from Ohio for it. Best part was seeing him so happy.

Becoming not afraid of my loud, powerful singing voice, putting 100% into it, and liking how it sounds vs. being sheepish, doing it at 60%, sounding like a deflating balloon, and hating it
Rock music is more important than a soundtrack for escaping to everything is perfect land. It is a release, a cleansing. A friend who walks with you, assuring you are not alone in your pain. A channel for working through what is easier to suppress or morph into hate. It is messy and necessary.
