πŸ’™πŸ“šπŸͺπŸŒΆοΈβš‘πŸŽ§πŸ‰πŸ”β³ Catching up on books I missed after being on juries and/or committees for book awards for the last 35 years or so, reading more than 200 per year. I loved reading new and exciting books each year but often it constrained me to only a specific genre, format, region, etc. What did I miss?

Check Kirkus, Publisher’s Weekly, NYT Book Review, The Guardian Books, NPR Books, Book Riot, Lit Hub, and Library Journal...plus Reddit (r/books, r/suggestmeabook) and BookTube/Bookstagram for hot takes. Any particular genres or vibes you’re after?

FOR ALL BOOK LOVERS AND READERS✍️ Have you ever used an AI-tool (book recommendation engine, summariser, smart reader-app) to pick or read a book? What did it change for you β€” the choice, the experience, the meaning? And if you use some that you liked, can you recommend them? #booksky #technology

Books for someone who doesn’t read www.booksns.com/170196/ I haven’t read a book since high school (when it was required lol) and I’m trying to start reading because I think it would be a good hobby for me. I’m pretty picky but I really liked the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo and copper …

A smattering of my favorites. Guards, Guards! is an all time classic. All of The Dark Tower is good but The Drawing Of The Three holds a special place for me. "Humans had always been better at killing than any other living thing." My introduction to Anne Rice. Lots of sentimental value.
Guards! Guards! by Sir Terry Pratchett. A whimsical, earnest book that all people should read.
The Drawing Of The Three by Stephen King, second book in the Dark Tower series.
Metro 2033, by Dmitry Glukhovsky.
Please read this book.
Vittorio the Vampire, by Anne Rice.

in case anyone has been wondering about my lack of posts, it's because I've been reading books: The Last Days of Night by Graham Moore (4.5 out of 5 stars, very good) The Forest of Hands and Teeth trilogy by Carrie Ryan (5 out of 5 no notes) Wizard: The Life and Times of Nikola Tesla (ongoing)

Time and a place. I'll read War & Peace on paper because it will go on a shelf. Reading number 15 in the Secret Agent / Detective series of your preference is where eBooks come into their own...

Here's a couple: "Fork-Tailed Devil: The P-38", by Martin Caidin. An interesting look at the history of one of the more unusual fighter planes of World War II. "'SHOT OUT!' And Other Stories", by Ralts Bloodthorne. A collection of stories from his web serial "Behold, Humanity!"
