Lord Phoenix is a Draekard with yellow fur, a mane and feathering that fades from purple to red, and silver hair with purple tips. Red stripes that fade to white at the top mark his body, and his feathered wings are purple with greying tips, and red-to-white stripes and markings, based on the wings of a Cecropia moth. Phoenix has a narrow muzzle, akin to a sight hound, and ears full of piercings; his piercings are a status symbol of his clan.

This was from a community thing I ran back on my old forum based around Draekards and their world. Every week, people would submit their Draekard ocs, and one would be picked randomly. Participants would then draw the 'Draekard of the week'. It was fun :D

This was my first try with doing a watercolor wash background, and basing the subject with light wash, and coloring over it with pencil crayons. I like how the pencil crayon part came out, but not the background; I tried to base it off of one of the rainbow-y sunsets I see where I live, but didn't quite achieve it.
I later tried this style again, but opted for a marker base rather than water colors.

I found a Battle Beast group back in the day, & was commissioned to do art for some of the custom Beasts.
