The Blacksky team is working on a zine. We grew to where we are through word of mouth and along existing networks. Thatโ€™s this, but offline. Itโ€™s important to me that the bleeding edge tech weโ€™re working on is made legible to as many people as possible. What do you think we should include?

Wow, hope this doesn't come across as bragging, but congratulations to my lab on 200 papers accepted at ICML.

SSNs would actually be Centralized Identifier Documents or CIDs not DIDs, as SSNs are federal government issued, therefore being centralized and not decentralized identifier documents. There's two W3C specs here! DIDs are a fork of CIDs iirc.

Long shot, but reposting by request of wife. ๐Ÿ˜… Or--- other CrunchLabs-inspired birthday party ideas? (hah, in Seattle ideally... :))

Do I know anyone who knows Mark Rober? 6yo is seriously into CrunchLabs and visiting the place would be the best birthday present ever.

I am once again asking you if you write something that uses a user's whole repo to get the .car export and walk it instead of calling listRecords a billion times. It's faster and can be done in the browser even.

I wrote a demo/example showing how you can walk a user's atproto repo via an export faster than doing individual calls inside a browser if you need to process a lot of their records using atcute. 22s vs 262s for my repo. Hosted on @wisp.place walktherepo.wisp.place

Shows a website that has exported my repo at the size of 30.78mb in 22.14s for 70,955 records
Shows I walked all the records in my repo at 70,968 in 262.81s and 1,678 api calls

How do people seek guidance from Claude? We looked at 1M conversations to understand what questions people ask, how Claude responds, and where it slips into sycophancy. We used what we found to improve how we trained Opus 4.7 and Mythos Preview.

I think everyone who thinks that it is no longer necessary to understand software engineering principles because of AI should spend a few minutes every day browsing /r/vibecoding. It's so so clear that technical skills are still worthwhile.
Reddit post from someone saying that they had 40 paying users for their vibecoded app. They gave Opus access to the database to fix a bug and it deleted all users. People are now asking for refunds.

Claude Security is now in public beta for Claude Enterprise customers. Claude scans your codebase for vulnerabilities, validates each finding to cut false positives, and suggests patches you can review and approve.

the โ€œX, not Yโ€ fake deep LLMism is driving me absolutely bonkers seeing it all the time in supposedly not generated text, im sure sometimes itโ€™s organic but itโ€™s truly deranging to imagine tics passing snuff and being popularized

atproto paradox people love to complain about how many permissions an atproto app requests while simultaneously requesting more and more interoperability ๐Ÿ˜ญ
