Is this the first time the Green Party have polled higher than the Lib Dems? Also 1/4 of the country looking and Trumpland and saying “yes let’s have some of that here” is absolutely wild.

Big vindication for @zackpolanski.Bluesky.social as Green Party overtakes the Lib Dem’s.

Our emissions and other ways of trashing the planet don't just jeopardise the future of humanity but also that of most of life on earth as we know it. And all the other species are totally innocent!

This is a criminal abdication of responsibility to the future of humanity. We should be removing subsidies for aviation fuel and taxing frequent flyers to reduce demand, not inducing more. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

Golly Trump must really be cranking it up on net zero subsidies since that is apparently the cause of all high bills.

Trump has succeeded in making America great again when it comes to US electricity prices. Congratulations 🙃

There was an advert for Iceland on Educating Yorkshire earlier and it was just like the Coldland advert from Shooting Stars

Watching, yet again, otherwise intelligent people who write ‘England’ when they should write ‘Britain’ and ‘Britain’ when they should write ‘England’. Have they really misunderstood what the ‘United Kingdom’ means, or is it intentional? 🤷‍♂️

Oh yet another runway. Great. Anyone got a link to those data showing how flying to and from the UK is mostly recreational these days?

Trail running of the Gods today in the Peak District 😎 #RunSky 🏃🏿‍♂️
A view up a grassy hill, along a path flanked by scrubby grass. The sky is gloriously blue and cloudless and there are a few low trees on the left of the path. My silhouette is on the left of shot.
A view down a steep gravelly track leading down a hill. On the right is a grassy verge, next to a fence bounding a field. In the distance are low hills. The sky is light blue and slightly cloudy.
A view down a gravelly, rocky path leading through a narrow Nick in a ridge. In the distance are hills, a light blue sky, and a blazing sun.

Still going.
A person wearing black gloves is holding a box full of red and green apples. More boxes of apples sit in a wheelbarrow below. Sunlight creates a bright vertical streak across the image. On the right, a small black dog with brown markings sniffs the ground. Grass and gravel are visible in the background.

It’s great to be at @libdems.org.uk conference “climate and nature day”. It would be good to see a similar focus from the other parties, rather than Reform’s climate denial, the Tories’ opposition to climate action & the chancellor’s indifference to nature. @ldnc-uk.bsky.social

Sometimes, just sometimes, you have to do something that makes you feel good…👇🏾 I recently chatted to someone about this; for me, during my time in academia, the people I met and what I learnt as we established @eartharxivbot.bsky.social was one of those things 😊

Science outreach, particularly celebrating science from the lens of EDI was a lifeline for me in surviving academia. These days I am convinced inspired by the members of my dept who have a real passion for this. So, it’s just pure joy.

Group photo of ten people smiling. In the background, a tv screen with colourful pictures. In front of the group a table with small objects and a microscope.
A dark room with an arena on the floor where there are three wheeled robots are lined up at the boundary. Outside the arena, a few people talking.
