3 months agodespite not having bust dart i bought this pattern for some experiments: 1-is it really so bad for me the version without darts?(via muslin). 2-is it possible to adapt it by fusioning it with the #kersoe from cashmerette that fits me so well? 3-will it look good with butterfly cap sleves? #memademay

Skirt #mend. I love it even though I sewed the top wrong. No one sees so I've not bothered.
I cut out a pair of wide leg trousers from a thrifted bed sheet. The pockets etc, from vintage yellow pillow case. They make me happy together. #sewsky #thriftscore #memademay all year

3 months agoFinishing orojects trying to learn 1 beautiful thing at a time. This kimono has jersey bias tape on the cowl seam to help with sensory sensitivities and a band of chambray improvised to "clean the bottom" as i misread the instructions and messed. But the result is beautiful. #memademay #june

4 months agoThis is a vernon shirt from cashmerette a very cherrised make. The first button up shirt that fitted me well. Cashmerette provides patterns with wide range of sizes but also bust cups. Because people varies a lot ind bust cap not only in the other sizes. #memademay

Every May @sozoblog, and on Instagram here, invites sewists to challenge themselves in some way. Some choose to post a photo of themselves every day with a complete head to toe #memade outfit. Some choose to sew only from their stash. The possibilities are endless! I haven't signed myself up for a few years now. It was actually easier when I was working because I sewed and wore lots of office wear: suits, dresses, skirts, tops, pants… You name it, I probably sewed and wore it! 🤣 After I retired, I didn’t need a lot of office wear, so I donated most of mine to a Women’s Shelter.
