Seems like only the Cypress Lake portion will reopen and not the Guadulupe River area where the tragedy happened.
Still, I’m not sure on the decision with this. They’ll have to build any new cabins away from the floodplain if they rebuild. But more importantly, is it worth it ethically?

Government has thumb over pen etc for laws. RMA changes make zoning simplier.
Hills this allows us to show leadership, and we dont have to wait to address flood risk.

about 1 hour agoCamp Mystic failed to safeguard the 27 girls that died. Guadeloupe flooded in 1932, again in 1987 drowning 10 children nearby. Kerr county discontinued the flood warning system. The current owner plans to endanger more kids behind a memorial. This is

Walker - something about stormwater and permeable surfaces not being good? So are these plan changes going to make it worse?
Staff - will need to correct Walker - there are permeable surface controls, strengthened in PC120, and have been enforced more to address issues
