Pantheism is the philosophical and religious belief that reality, the universe, and nature are identical to divinity or a supreme entity. The physical universe is thus understood as an immanent deity, still expanding and creating, which has existed since the beginning of time.

I can understand being agnostic, but being an atheist seems quite arrogant to me. I'm a Gnostic Pantheist who, like Plato and many others, believes our ancient ancestors experienced paleo-contact.

As an atheist, I agree with you. However, Giordano Bruno was an Italian Dominican friar, philosopher and mathematician (1548–1600) out to death by the RCC as a heretic. They should make amends to everyone butchered and roasted by sanctifying them now. For Catholics need patron saints for science.

If people truly begin to lose belief in religion at mass, it is likely that the last remaining religion will proclaim its survival is due to their righteous faith, and bring a new age to their collective. If ever a day happens, hope it’s one verging on pantheism so it may dissolve to set minds free.

Failed to score Vatican tickets for today so went for a little stroll to say ciao to Giordano Bruno, martyred for being too questioning and polymath and, ironically, inquisitive, by the Inquisition

Speaking solely to the first part of this - technically, I'd probably describe myself as an agnostic or naturalistic pantheist (ie atheist who sees the glass half-full), but I should probably add 'Unitarian by default' onto that

i know too much about a bunch of different religions and the result is that i earnestly believe a bewildering mishmash of nonsense, and i would feel bad about it/nervous about it, but i know logically god did not send 80% of peasants in the eleventh century to hell
