Some costs should be born by the state via the taxpayer. Among them: -public education -road upkeep -firefighting -easy public health measures that prevent enormous downstream public costs and individual suffering, i.e. VACCINES Low income should not be a barrier to self care

Whether a parent is trying to protect their child or a senior is trying to avoid hospitalization, we shouldn't have to pay to protect our health. The UCP is not “cutting waste.” They are making us pay for public healthcare. Albertans deserve better. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Hiring decisions in the federal government for roles like meat packers and public health specialists should be made based on expertise, not loyalty. Federal contracts for things like disaster relief and national security should be awarded based on value and quality, not loyalty.

it continually makes me very angry how despite the public health, economic, and moral benefits to virus eradication (see: smallpox), eugenics and the anti-vax movement have propagated a survivorship bias mentality that undermines trust in the greatest human invention ever.
