Okay so if I'm understanding the rules correctly a sign and trade has to be a 3 year deal so adding the 3rd partial year to the Schroeder contract gives the Kings 5 days to shop say Malik Monk and if need be they can go back to Detroit and try to change this to a sign and trade.
