Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) revolutionized psychotherapy by merging behaviorism with cognitive psychology. Building on ideas from Beck and Ellis, CBT effectively treats disorders by re-framing thoughts, proving pivotal in modern evidence-based mental health practice.

I donโ€™t want to do that. I escaped cogsci to avoid that. Fodorโ€™s final position was that all concepts (eg. *carburetor*) are innate! His own reductio? I accept your analysis: having considerations warranting accepting or rejecting thought.

Found out I'm on an "AI haters" block list. For the record: I don't hate AI. AI is dear and close to me. My background is in CogSci, and I *can* speak with nuance on the subject. But in a time/place where that nuance overwhelmingly favors evil, I am withholding that nuance.

(the part he considers most important) on fixed human-generated data. This emphasis on causal intervention in the world by human children as a critical factor in their environment is often *taken for granted* in some psych/CogSci/neuroscience literature. (2/8)

Got fed up of being stuck in biology! Over the last year I've also developed deeper insights of specific ideas from enactive cogsci and learnt a lot from the previous two books. Time to put out something for a general audience.

New in @pnas.org: doi.org/10.1073/pnas... We study how humans explore a 61-state environment with a stochastic region that mimics a โ€œnoisy-TV.โ€ Results: Participants keep exploring the stochastic part even when itโ€™s unhelpful, and novelty-seeking best explains this behavior. #cogsci #neuroskyence
