I will speculate that cancelling is a situation that you can recover from? I would have thought it was more of a mob action, but not sure about the exact json semantics of implementing that on ATProto at this time. anyway, I'm starting to be a @dame.is fanboy over here a little bit.

If you have PDS DB access it’s a pretty simple script (delete from DB and broadcast to firehose). I don’t think there’s a dedicated API bulk deleting by collection.

“atproto” is the name of BlueSky if you are not using BlueSky (BlueSky is the company, like “Gmail”)
OVH is based in Paris, France so they have to respect EU regulations—notably on privacy.

Side-question: does anyone know whether the "See hashtag posts by user" feeds work for post-level (Tumblr-style) hashtags, or only inline tags?
(The post Lexicon supports both, but the Bluesky appview / client only exposes the latter currently.)

- Find a font that has the emoji I want to use for event severity icons (and that fit nicely into the triangles and hexagons). - Decide what will be hashtagged (so people can listen to a sub-feed of alerts for their area). - Test on my dev account & refine the renders. Okay, maybe last ten miles...

📌 Thanks good to know! Which I knew it before when looking at shinigami.cyou PDS for a bunch of accounts that wrote validation records recently, majority of accounts where never active on the platform itself!

Soon! Actually I do have one that’s…a bit odd.
It’s a duplicate of atproto.blue/en/latest/at...
The shape is identical. I want to respect the Bluesky AppView blocks *and* allow additional blocks in my own AppView that don’t modify blocks on Bluesky.
I’ll be interested to hear if that hits UFO

Hmm. deer.social is fantastic but I wish I knew why it refuses to keep loading gifs. Is it something to do with running a self-hosted PDS, or some other knownissue? @aviva.gay
(Vanilla bsky Appview has not had this issue for me btw)

if the pds is offline the client can simply show a “hey we can’t log in!!” and a button that lets you retrieve the key

Obviously there is a lot of trust with all services and the "turns evil" scenario is just for the sake of argument and billionaire-proofing, but the main reason you would need the key is for account recovery in events such as a server outage or if your PDS is not cooperating in a transfer.
