It's always crazy to shoot Terns! they are fast, and shooting them with a D7000 (+ Tamron 70-300) Was looking through the archive to share some pictures for #TernTuesday #Blurd #Birds #Photography #EastCoastKin #Nature #Wildlife (next month planning to photograph them with the #Nikon z6iii)
a common term, photographed from the front, it's head is in focus and wing span as well. there's a black cap, and the wings are dark from above. it's flying over the dock water - which is littered with plastic.
a tern, just out of focus, as it makes a swift flight. there are small ferries in the background with people working/prepping to take it out for fishing.

a tigress seen in the middle of the forest, walking out of heavy foliage to head towards a water stream. the tigress is in the middle of the frame, and there are varieties of trees and bushes around it. you also see dry and tall (elephant grass) in the back, and shorter regular grass in the foreground.

2 crows sitting on a bamboo stick, and one of them is holding fish discard fromt he fish market on the dock. the crows have grey neck, and black body.
an egret perched on a rope - with a piece of fish discard in its mouth. the bird is white, has a head plume. the lower body feather are dirty (black in color) from the pollution in the dock side.
a common tern with one of its wing clipped, is flying with some kind of fish part in its mouth - there is dirty green water all behind. and you can see litter floating in it. the bird is white body, lower wing -- a black cap.

A bombay gothic style architecture of the building it has arches on all the floors, and the top part has sloped roof and minarets also. There's a watch face on top. The image in color is framed as a polaroiod and behind is the same image, enlarged and black and white.

Seems like a good day to post forward facing raptors. It is always a good day for this! #birds #photography #nature
a white eyed buzzard perched on a dry branch on top of a very tall tree, photographed with a 600mm from a distance (image is cropped) -- you can see the blue clear sky behind. there are some out of focus leaves and branches as well in the lower third of the photograph. Bird description from iNat: Adults have a rufous tail, a distinctive white iris, and a white throat bearing a dark mesial stripe bordered. The head is brown and the median coverts of the upper wing are pale. They lack the typical carpal patches on the underside of the wings seen in true buzzards, but the entire wing lining appears dark in contrast to the flight feathers.

Seems like a good day to post forward facing raptors. It is always a good day for this! #birds 🌿
