Oh yes, they can be very deadly! That's one reason why they're often hired for all kinds of sneaky jobs, both the protective type and the kill- uh.. offensive type. However, most of the #Vortecc are just "normal" people, regardless of their dangerous reputation.

And to reveal something normal too: Their typical size is from 1,70 to 2 meters (~5,6 to 6.6 feet). Yep, likely taller than you. Oh and what does 5th nation mean? The Araz is a space federation, the biggest in my world, with 9 members in total. The #Vortecc were the 5th to join. (end)

About the slits on their chest: Yes, that's indeed nose slits, just not on the nose. #Vortecc have no sense of smell there, that's what their limbs are for. The location of the slits is important though - to not choke themselves with the tongues. (cont.)

Their voices sound uncanny to say the least. Imagine a snake whispering with a raspy undertone, forming distorted words. Luckily though the #Vortecc don't speak much. (cont.)

Limbs: #Vortecc have olfactory receptors, which results in an excellent sense of smell. However, it depends on how many of the appendages are "visible", bc they can be retracted into the body (like tongues), only the ones on the head & the tail are always visible. (cont.)

Contrary to their rigid bodies, their bendy limbs are in constant motion. Sometimes they are slowly squirming like oversized worms and sometimes they reach out for.. you. But don't worry, usually they just wanna get a better impression on what you smell like. (cont.) . #Vortecc

Details about the eyes: The first 4 eyes provide a good field of view & depth perception, but the night vision is about as good as a human's, so not good at all :D However: The last pair of eyes is the one that sees in the infrared spectrum. Soo... that definitely helps in the dark. #Vortecc

Despite the aquatic appearance they are land-dwelling, but you are right about the predator! :) They have a bunch of skills, like a great sense of smell and seeing in the infrared spectrum, which make them quite deadly. #Vortecc
