Zack is glorifying 4th place.. It infuriates me.. And they're not even polling above the Lib Dems either.. In politics only PM or first matters..

Joined Labour. Iraq War. Joined Lib Dems. Tory coalition. I won't pay to join the Green Party as I'm clearly bad luck. ๐Ÿ˜‚

And this wasn't a prediction, so much as a logical certainty. If 2025 Labour voters fail to vote Labour again in large numbers, the next most popular party in those seats will win. And guess what, it's not the Lib Dems or the Greens. It's the tobacco stained man frog and his equally racist pals.

Just to be clear - unless you voted for LibDems or the Greens or another party that in GE0219 promised to stay in ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ or at least in the S/M (even Corbyn wanted ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง to stay in the CU but not the SM), you voted to lose your FoM.

Our problem, now stay with me here, is that we have no written constitution. Quick note to the constitutional lawyers I KNOW WE HAVE A CONSTITUTION. But our reliance on the ECHR is a political cop-out which we are reaping the deficits from. This is not a call for a constitution (calm down, Lib Dems)

If my numbers are accurate, all I need do is rally all the immigrants into forming a party and we would outnumber the Tories, Reform, Green and Lib Dems combined. Now THATโ€™S the country I want to live in Robert Jenracist.

Libdem policy on transphobia is literally appalling, a contradiction in terms in that it amounts to โ€œyou can be transphobic so long as you arenโ€™t being transphobic while doing soโ€ Risible, unutterably feeble stuff www.libdems.org.uk/code-oโ€ฆ.
Holding and expressing gender critical views, whether in internal debates or publicly, is protected by law under the Equality Act, Article 9 ECHR and Article 10 ECHR and is permitted. Those who hold such views may express them freely, as long as they do not harass or discriminate against trans people, nor create an environment which is hostile or discriminatory to trans people.

You've watered down your last statement: 'their voters were mainly old people who feel ethnic hatred'. Replace 'old' with 'black' and you'll see. In reality Labour needs a coalition with Lib Dem types. Allow Tories and Reform - and Greens and Your Party - to split themselves.

If life gives you lemons, dying like a kinky Lib Dem backbencher due to an autoerotic asphyxiation accident is one of your options. Not getting scurvy is probably better, but we're just spitballing here.

Same, I don't have anything bad to say about them, all the Lib Dems I met locally are lovely people. I just think we need something more radical now, tinkering isn't going to cut it.

Will Jenrick take up the bishop's offer and, if not, why not? Perhaps @eddavey.libdems.org.uk might want to follow up on this.

Kamala only wants redemption only for herself.. She doesn't care about us.. And I can say that because I supported her in 2020 over Bernie hoping she would lead Lib Dem USA or something.. These politicians (I mean party leaders really) only care about their campaign or "constituency" salary etc

It's why it's time for SOMEONE (hello LibDems) to step right in to that gap! One Nation policies, Opportunity for the masses, Acceptance that we've ALWAYS needed to both look "after our own" and bolster & diversify through positive immigration!

The question for UK political parties is do they want the racist vote? The Greens and LibDems clearly donโ€™t. ReformUK clearly does. Jenrickโ€™s version of the Tory party clearly does. How about the Labour party?

The Lib Dems can offer real change that puts the individual and their community first. Based on facts and experience not on dogma. It can attract voters from across the political spectrum. To create a fairer, happier society, free of vested interests. We should aim high. ๐Ÿ‘

the European center/center-left-ish parties that come to mind as being basically decent (but not dominant in national politics) are the Lib Dems in the UK except that they're NIMBYs, and maybe D66 in the Netherlands except that i haven't kept in touch with the Dutch politics posters i knew on reddit

Not sure that local LibDem MP Ed Davey would be delighted with the Tories having their conference in his constituency.

The UK experience in 2010 isn't much better. The Lib Dems allowed themselves to be bullied by the Tories for fear of Cameron calling a GE. Lab wasn't willing to build an alternative coalition because many of its prominent members hated the Lib Dems and SNP more than they hated the Tories. 2/
