Love our fast friends on e-bikes & scooters — but can we make “passing politely” the new trend? Bike lanes shouldn’t feel like Mario Kart. No one asked for a blue shell at 20 mph. My guess is that it’s not just San Francisco. Let’s bring back bike bells and “passing on your left.”

NEW: Trump signed an EO on "Project Homecoming," which authorizes DHS's new plan to pay people $1,000 to leave the country. Trump also orders DHS to "supplement" ICE by "deputizing and contracting ... no less than 20,000 officers ... to conduct an intensive campaign to remove illegal aliens."

Interesting this focus on google searches declining because people are using AI. Not a hint about many people just ditching google. Google itself as an evil company. Google search because it's turning into sheer garbage, hence the not clicking through. Duckduckgo, people!

For the moment, Google’s AI overviews seem to have quelled the possibility of a sudden mass defection away from its core search engine. But it’s now clear that for the first time in decades, a generation is growing up with the possibility of using something other than Google as its default search. Today, they’re using ChatGPT to do all their homework assignments. By the time they graduate, they may be using it to do almost everything else.
