One of the best things about the work I get to do is that I often get to see/read some of the books in progress related to sports, religion, history, and/or theology. And I've got to tell you: There are some great books in the pipeline coming out over the next year or so.

Theology 101: You can’t have it both ways—you can’t ā€œresist the antichristā€ in the abstract while failing to resist the things the spirit of antichrist promotes: flattery, apostasy, lawlessness, destruction, materialism, self-exaltation, deception, warmongering, arrogance, and blasphemy.

I’ve just sent off an abstract for a scholarly essay I’ll be working on this fall for a theology and visual arts project, and my favorite part of the essay (which will involve a close study of Sandro Botticelli’s early 16th painting, Man of Sorrows), is the title itself: ā€œFaith Comes by Seeing.ā€
