Everything is terrible, but it's #FallFrontFriday (the 13th!) so here's a bit of bad luck for Stede. This is somewhere in the future timeline of the fall-front co-captains from my zine 🤭
Stede knows exactly when it happened. He and Ed were scrambling over a stone wall, pursuers hot on their heels, and then his hip caught a rough edge at the top of the wall, and as he froze there, motionless, he heard it - First a scraping sound as his button dragged across the stone, then a *ping* as it detached and bounced away over the wall, then probably a muffled thump as it hit the ground, only he didn’t hear *that* part because Ed’s head was popping up in front of him, his eyes bright and wild, his mouth open, and then his gloved hands were reaching over, grabbing onto Stede’s clothes, tugging and hauling him over the wall until they collapsed in a heap at the bottom, laughing and gasping, only pausing a moment to catch their breath before taking off again, trampling through what looked to be someone’s backyard vegetable garden, barely skirting around a pig pen, headed for the safety of the dense forest ahead.

#fallfrontfriday (shhhh i know what day it is) Stede loses a button on his fall fronts doing pirate-y things but he and his super cool co-captain are away from the ship on an advincha so he can't change clothes and all day long his dick keeps trying to peek out of the flap...soooooo embarrassing

Series 19 of Taskmaster continues to go from strength to strength. Last night's was another collection of absolute insanity. I had to catch my breath from laughing. Honestly, this show is so valuable right now, everything is terrible, but each week we get these 45 minutes of glorious stupidity.

everything is terrible but my Lazarus cucumber* is thriving and fruiting *not a real strain of cuke, just a plant I revived
a sad looking cucumber plant inside the circle of a tomato cage, planted in a cardboard box in my backyard. behind it, a purple plastic bin with carrot stalks and pole beans.
same cucumber plant 24 hours later, looking much perkier.
two weeks later, the same cucumber plant thriving and broad-leafed within the loving confines of its tomato cage. a few small yellow blooms can be seen amongst the leaves.
