JoCat Japan Trip 2025

🇯🇵 day 1 - Echo got distracted by gacha - Went to akihabura daiso to get supplies - Echo got distracted by gacha - explore the rest of the mall the daiso was in - Echo got distracted by gacha - found gunpla, bought little gunpla - Echo got distracted by gacha - eat beef bowl - Echo got distrac

🇯🇵 day 2 - met up with fans at our first temple! Kayadera - learned about the differences and similarities between Thai and Japanese Buddhism - got a second wifi box so echo and I could explore individually - Grabbed a full sized mecha - Visited the yakitori place!!! (donno if manager remembers us)

🇯🇵 day 3 - early morning meetings and calls - get some work done, emails answered, art drawn etc - jetlag + early morning wakeup = sleepy, so nap part of the day - grab some things from family mart while echo sleeps - get that good lemon alcohol again

🇯🇵 day 4 - went to square enix (NOT eorzea or dragon quest) Cafe, was okay - roamed akihabara looking for a specific miku figure for Kate. checked about a dozen figure/anime stores, could not find it - got street food including the LONGEST POTATO

🇯🇵 day 5 - work day, mostly stayed in and wrote, drew, edited - got pizza from pizza hut, was very good! but expensive - nap to recover from jet lag

🇯🇵 day 6 THE SHEN HAS ARRIVED

🇯🇵 day 7 - slept in to try and beat jet lag - solo wandered Shibuya expecting it to be too big and crowded - it was - stopped by a Chinese restaurant, ordered chicken, fried rice, lemon sour and highball - didn't like the alchohol but drank them all to be polite - drunkenly stumble back home

🇯🇵 day 8 DIPPER HAS ARRIVED

🇯🇵 day 9 - made it to Osaka - met up with a mutual friend - ate Japanese barbecue thin slice meat - checked into hotel room - played a LOT of arcade - got very drunk at kura sushi

🇯🇵 day 10 - ECHOS BIRTHDAY - explored Dotonbori - found a very out of the way restaurant that we needed a guide to get to - met a national treasure and hero

🇯🇵 day 11 - Went to the Eorzea cafe in Dotonbori! was much more toned down than the Akihabara one, but all the same food & drinks, plus an art board! - visited shrine, got fortune! - Went to MonHun Cafe in the same building! also toned down, also doodle books with many khezu

🇯🇵 day 12 - Super tired so slept in + drew art - browsed the yodabashi camera that was in the same building as our hotel - that's it

🇯🇵 day 13 - checked out of hotel - take Osaka shinkansen back to Tokyo, pass by lots of snow on the way - lay on couch for the rest of the day

🇯🇵 day 14 - went to eorzea cafe in akihabara and got big fat tacos also, do NOT order the menpjina drink, it was so watered down and most of the glass was ice - checked out a warhammer Cafe - most of the day spent at home working

🇯🇵 day 15 rest/work day so nothing of note, besides finishing work on a very hastily made something on request of a very special someone that will be showcased at a very near sometime

🇯🇵 day 15 - went to the monster hunter Cafe in akihabara again, was about as cool as last time, got mostly the same stuff + the palico kids meal - got a pink miku for a friend back home

🇯🇵 day 16 - rest day, stayed inside and mostly drew and played video games - unrelated check out this cat sleeping on the roof of this house

🇯🇵 day 17 - spent valentines day with echo :3

🇯🇵 day 18 - rest day 🇯🇵 day 19 - got a personal tour thanks to @pocky469.bsky.social who showed us around the temples and shrines and stores in Asakusa! super cool and friendly guy

🇯🇵 day 20 - went to Tokyo Disneyland, but only briefly since we had evening tickets - got pics with Minnie, she snuck in a smooch on me mid-hug ☺️ - went to a sumo + hotpot place shen picked out - got to wrestle one of them and absolutely destroyed him

🇯🇵 day 22 (I repeated a day so skipping one) - rest day 🇯🇵 day 23 - went to shibuya and met Hachiko - went to a maid Cafe, echo and shen had a great time, I was very anxious - went to a muscle bar and got lifted by a muscle girl, I was less anxious

🇯🇵 day 24 (sorry I've not been keeping up) - had a boy day and explored ikebukuro - met with friends for okonomiyaki in Harajuku - explored lower Harajuku including cool art gallery and echo finally got her own potato tornado

🇯🇵 day 25 - went to the yakitori bar for a second time this trip, but this time with @pocky469.bsky.social to help translate & show them our video mentioning the bar They loved it and our omiyage (Cajun spice) so much they have it on their counter as a convo starter and gave us a gift!

day 24 and 25 are actually swapped 😅 🇯🇵 day 26 - went back to the yakitori bar one last time with pocky. they're already sharing the video around with their customers 🇯🇵 day 27 - Went to kamen rider cafe, which hands down has legit good food, not just for themed cafe. best chicken Ive had ever

🇯🇵 day 28, last full day in Japan - Went to the Ramen museum, tried lots of ramen and learned about its history - visited the giant gundam and briefly had a look through the diver city plaza beside it - found my new favorite ice cream in the plaza
